- My name's incorrectly spelled on my PR7
label. What should I do?
Please check our Member Search
before you do anything else. If your name is spelled correctly in the results
of your search, then you don't need to do anything else. That's the way your
name appears in our database.
If your name is also spelled incorrectly in the Member Search
results, then please send mail to Pre-Reg so that we can correct your name
before we print your badge.
- I'll only be able to come to the convention
for one day. Is there a reduced rate?
Yes, we're now selling one-day
admissions. You can buy them at our online store, or they'll be available
at the door.
- I'm not a citizen of the USA. Do I need a
visa to enter the United States?
Canadian citizens generally do not require a visa or a passport to
enter the US.
Citizens of Australia, Brunei, Ireland, New Zealand and the United
Kingdom do not require a visa if they are coming to the US for business
purposes or to be a tourist and their stay is less than 90 days.
Citizens of all other countries are generally required to have a
visa. Those from any country for which a passport is required should make sure
that their passport is valid for a minimum of six months beyond the initial
period of stay in the United States.
Further details can be found at the Customs
and Border Patrol site .
If you have questions about visas or other travel requirements
that the
Customs
and Border Patrol site doesn't answer, we recommend you contact your local
government or the nearest US Embassy for additional help.
- Can I get a refund on my membership?
No, Memberships and Children's Admissions are not refundable, but
they can be transferred to someone else.
- How do I transfer a membership?

sign, and mail or fax the Transfer
Form to us.
Only the member named on the membership may transfer it.
Children's Admissions may be transferred by a parent or guardian. Memberships
purchased on the Installment Plan may only be transferred once they are
completely paid.
- I'm having trouble using the online store,
what should I do?
We post news about problems with the store that we know about and
are working on to our home page. If there's
no announcement there, or if the problem you're having isn't covered by the
announcement, please email
Pre-Reg.
- What are the differences in the types
of memberships?
Supporting memberships receive publications and have voting rights
(Hugos, RetroHugos, and Site Selection), but do not include the right to attend
Noreascon Four. Attending memberships include all the rights of supporting
memberships plus the right to attend Noreascon Four. Children's
admissions allow children 12 and under to attend, but don't include
publications or voting rights. Please see our further information on
Membership Types.
A one-day admission allows someone to attend Noreascon 4 for a
particular day, but includes no publications or voting rights.

- What's up with hotel reservations?
Hotel reservations opened on December 20, 2003. We blocked a total
of 1,800 rooms in our two hotels only one Worldcon in history has used
more rooms than that.
As of the end of July, our room blocks at the Sheraton Boston
Hotel and at the Marriott Copley Place are essentially full. Rooms will still
become available, as people's plans change and they release existing
reservations, but we've also added two new hotels to our facilities. You can
find information about our new hotels, the Colonnade and the Radisson Boston,
on our Facilities page.
- When do the Noreascon room blocks
close?
The Noreascon room blocks have expired. Check with a particular
hotel to see if they still have rooms available at the Noreascon rate.
- I need to ship stuff to Noreascon 4. Is
the hotel going to charge me for receiving my packages?
The Sheraton does charge guests to receive packages. We've made
its February 2004 list of package types and
charges available, and will be checking with them before August to
see if any of those charges have changed. The Marriott does
not (as of April 2004) charge to receive packages for guests.

Boston? Do hotel room rates include parking?

We've posted detailed
parking information (including suggestions for remote cheap or
free parking) closer to the convention.
