The Venue

Rhode Island Convention Center

The RICC is our site for daytime program and hospitality, and for exhibits. All of our space is together on the ballroom level, and is accessible from the street or by connecting corridor from the Westin Hotel. We're working with the RICC to have lunches and snacks available in our space.

Hotels

We are using two hotels. Our main hotel, the Westin Hotel, has a direct connection to the RICC, and will also be the location for evening program, events, and hospitality. The other hotel, the Providence Biltmore, is a 2-3 minute walk from the RICC.

The main WFC hotels are now full. To keep rooms 'in the family' we'd appreciate it that if you need to cancel a room, you would cancel it through us. Send us email at: info@noreascon.org.

As of August 15, 1999, the parking rate at the RI Convention Center Garage (a private concession) is $8 for a 24-hour day; $10 for a 24-hour day with in-out privileges. These rates are for Westin Hotel guests. Usual rates are up to a maximum of $12 per day. All rates are subject to change without notice.

All suites in the Westin Hotel must be booked through us. Please contact us at our mailing address below, "Attn: Publiaison", or send email to info@noreascon.org.

As of September 23, our Westin block is sold out -- every room we had in our contract, and the extras they added due to demand. (They don't have any more available for us.)

As of August 15, the parking rate at the Biltmore (at the smallish private parking garage next to the hotel) is $14 per day for day-only parking and $10 per day for hotel guests. These rates are subject to change without notice.

Pawtucket, Cranston & Seekonk

Citywide Reservations Services, Inc. has arranged for rooms for World Fantasy Convention members at the Comfort Inn in Pawtucket ($79 per night) and Days Inn in Cranston ($85 per night). These rooms are subject to availability so don't delay any more. Please call them at 1-888-248-9121 and mention World Fantasy Convention.
