Almost everybody has a favorite program participant or two that they'd like to meet up-close-and-personally. Noreascon 4 has several different ways you can meet with your favorite authors, editors, and other program particpants: over pen-and-paper, with coffee, or with beer.
We'll post schedules for autographing sessions, kaffeeklatches, and literary beers later in August.
Autographing
Autographing will take place in the Hynes Convention Center, in the second floor Boylston Hallway, near room 200 (Maps and diagrams coming soon!)
We currently expect that autographing will take place during the following hours:
Thursday noon 6 pm Friday 10 am 6 pm Saturday 10 am 6 pm Sunday 10 am 5 pm Monday 10 am 3 pm Rules for Autographing
- There will be a 3 book maximum per person limit in effect, whenver there is a line for a particular author. In other words if you have more books, you must go back to the end of the line.
Kaffeeklatsches
Kaffeeklatsches are an opportunity for fans to relax and drink coffee (or tea) with their favorite SF personality. Spend an hour with your favorite author or artist we don't promise that everybody will start off awake, but we'll supply the caffeine to get you going!
Kaffeeklatsches will take place in the ConSuite, and are by advance sign-up only. They'll run through the middle of the afternoon each day of the con.
Sign-ups
- You (not someone else signing up for you!) MUST sign up, in advance, at Information.
- You may sign up for a kaffeeklatsch no more than 24 hours in advance. That means, that if there is a kaffeeklatsch you want to see at 2:00 pm on Saturday, you can begin signing-up for it at 2:00 pm on Friday.
- Sign-up will continue until all slots are taken (9 per klatsch) or until one hour before the klatsch is scheduled.
- If there are any places still open when sign-up closes, check in with the Kaffeeklatsch manager in the ConSuite to see if you can be included.
We will post information as soon as a kaffeeklatsch is full. Kaffeeklatsches are very popularwe know it's often hard to get a spot at a klatsch with your favorite author. Take a chance you might meet a new favorite author!
Literary Beers
Allergic to caffeine? Your brain doesn't actually connect with your mouth til later in the day?
Literary beers may be a better social opportunity for you. Hang out with authors, editors, and other program participants over a beer in a baryou buy your own, sorry!
Literary Beers will take place in the "Mended Drum" Noreascon Four's homage to Discworld in the ConCourse (and possibly in the Sheraton Bar). Sign-up will be handled the same way as Kaffeeklatsches:
