Noreascon 4 Conversations

We've talked elsewhere about our belief in the centrality of the conversation of the convention and about creating and stimulating those conversations across the entire weekend.

One of the ways that we can do that is by making some convention space available for not-from-Programming meetings and discussions — otherwise known as Special Interest Groups and Discussion Groups.

If you're:

• part of a group or organization with a specific focus that would like to get together during Noreascon 4; or
• interested in talking with others about a specific topic that might not be appropriate for formal programming; or
• part of an on-going conversational grouping that would love to welcome new members,

then we might be able to make some con space available for your SIG or Discussion Group, in return for your contribution to the conversations of the conventions.

We'll have a limited amount of space (and time) available for SIGs and Discussion Groups, so reservations will be important — experience says that while there might be an hour or two for SIGs that aren't already scheduled once you arrive at con, it's a mighty slim "if".

We'll make sure that there's a list of those SIGs and Discussion Groups that we are able to schedule easily available online pre-con and in the Pocket Program at-con if at all possible

But to schedule and list the SIGs, we need your help.
